At Pocna Dive Center, we’re always looking for ways to make diving a little greener — and our latest eco-idea might be our favorite yet. Inspired by the Green Fins community, we’ve started using fresh Aloe Vera leaves as a 100% natural, ocean-friendly mask defog. It works beautifully, keeps harmful chemicals out of the sea, and even grows right in our own little “defog garden.” Small changes like this help keep our reefs — and our masks — crystal clear. 🌿💦

Jardines is one of the lesser-dived spots on Manchones Reef, Isla Mujeres, offering calm waters, vibrant marine life, and a peaceful escape from the crowds. Explore rays, nurse sharks, colorful tropical fish, and the hidden underwater statue Bacab, all just minutes from the shore and close to the famous MUSA museum. At Pocna Dive Center, we love uncovering forgotten corners of the sea. Casetas, part of the Chairel ferry wreck, is our newest addition to Isla Mujeres’ wreck dives. Sitting at 24 meters with medium to strong currents and abundant marine life, this drift dive is perfect for experienced divers looking for adventure. With Casetas now open, divers have even more shipwrecks to explore in the area, each with its own story beneath the waves.

*Buried heads, briefcases, and prayer-like poses—The Bankers in MUSA’s Manchones Gallery offer a haunting underwater statement on denial, capitalism, and climate change. Created by Jason deCaires Taylor in 2012, these six statues lie at 9 meters depth, where marine life thrives within their hollow forms. Powerful and provocative, this sculpture challenges divers and snorkelers alike to reflect on what we value—and what we ignore.

Drift past loggerhead turtles, dolphins, rays, and century-old shipwrecks at Punta Sur, Isla Mujeres. Every year from May to October, Isla Mujeres welcomes the return of loggerhead sea turtles.
