COURSE DETAILS:
Are you seeking an exhilarating adventure that will leave a lasting impact on your life? Then look no further than Isla Mujeres, where some of the world's most renowned scuba diving sites are located. Our program provides an accessible and speedy introduction to this thrilling activity, starting with a trip to Manchones National Park. Here, you'll have the chance to dive in optimal conditions, with a depth of 10 meters/33 feet, visibility of up to 30 meters/100 feet, and an average water temperature of 27°C/80°F.Â
Your first dive will take you to the famous MUSA, where over 450 statues have been submerged for diving purposes. After you feel comfortable and prepared to dive safely on a reef, your second dive will be at the magnificent Manchones Reef, where you can expect to see a diverse range of marine life, including turtles, rays, and eels.Â
To prepare for your Discover Scuba Diving experience, we use PADI DSD eLearningâ„¢. This online program teaches diving safety fundamentals and can be completed on your computer or mobile device in 20-30 minutes. The cost of your course includes this eLearning component.
Our PADI instructor will guide you through the process, starting with an overview of how the equipment works. You'll then have a confined water session in our on-site swimming pool to learn essential safety skills in a controlled and calm environment. Once you've mastered the basics, our boat will take you to the two dive sites mentioned above, where each dive lasts approximately 45 minutes. Your instructor will be with you every step of the way, ensuring that you can safely enjoy your first open water dives.Â
Although Discover Scuba Diving does not provide certification, the skills you learn can be applied toward obtaining a PADI Open Water Diver certification. High-Quality Equipment & Facilities
Scuba diving equipment allows you to visit the underwater world by making it possible to breathe, see, and move comfortably while below the surface. It is important that all our equipment including our compressors are fully maintained and regularly checked for both your comfort and your safety. We want to make sure that you are fully comfortable and confident with our equipment. To help, we offer opportunities to practice in our on-site pool, or we provide refresher classes for experienced divers who haven't been in the ocean for a while.
Environmental Responsibility
At our center, we take this responsibility seriously. We are proud members of Green Finns and PADI Aware ambassadors. In addition, we collaborate with the Saving Our Sharks Foundation and run our own Ambassadors Del Mar initiative. This initiative is focused on providing children and fishermen on the island with the opportunity to learn about conservation and diving.
