If you plan on diving deeper than 18mt/60ft, it's crucial to consider safety measures. The Deep Diving specialty course is designed to teach you how to dive safely up to the recreational diving limit (40mt/130ft). During this course, you will learn about the necessary equipment for a deep dive and how to set up an extra breathing system, such as a pony tank. Additionally, you'll practice safety procedures, understand how pressure affects air spaces, and learn the basics of calculating your air consumption. 

Deep dives are typically short due to limited time and air supply. Thus, making wise choices about dive objectives and accomplishments is essential. This course will teach you how to make informed decisions for a stress-free, safe, and enjoyable deep-diving experience. 

The best way to learn deep-diving procedures is through hands-on experience. The philosophy of the course centers on expanding your understanding of deep dive planning and organization, basic deep diving techniques, avoiding hazards, using deep diving support equipment, and interacting responsibly with marine life.

During four deep dives with your instructor, you’ll go over the following:

• Specialized deep diving equipment.

• Deep dive planning, buddy contact procedures, and buoyancy control.

• Managing your gas supply, dealing with gas narcosis and safety considerations.
