COURSE DETAILS:
Already completed the PADI Basic Freediver course and want to advance your skills in open water? This upgrade is designed specifically for certified Basic Freedivers who are ready to build on their foundation and achieve the full PADI Freediver certification.
What You’ll Learn
In this upgrade, you’ll complete the remaining open water training required for the full PADI Freediver certification. You’ll apply your knowledge and confined water skills in a real-world diving environment and gain confidence diving deeper, safely, and effectively.
Course includes:
Open Water Sessions:
Practice free immersion and constant weight dives
Refine equalisation and descent techniques
Improve buddy and rescue procedures
Reach a target depth of 10 meters (30 feet)
Equipment
In the PADI Freediver course, you learn to use a mask, snorkel and fins, and may also use a wetsuit and weight belt. Using gear designed specifically for freediving is best. However, in this course, you may be able to use snorkelling equipment you already own.
What to Bring
A change of clothes
A secure swimsuit
Towels
Water and snacks
Please note. While we supply equipment for the freediving class, it will be standard diving equipment. We recommend that all students bring their own freediving masks, snorkels and freediving fins.
Important Medical Information for Freediving and Mermaid Students
Freediving requires a certain level of health and physical fitness. If you have chronic medical conditions, are taking specific medications, or have recently undergone surgery, you may need written clearance from a physician before participating in any diving activities.
Please download and review the Diver Medical form before enrolling in a freediving or mermaid course to determine whether you'll need medical approval.
Please note: Instructors, Divemasters, and dive shop staff are not qualified to provide medical advice—only licensed medical professionals can assess your fitness for diving and provide medical clearance if necessary.

We want to make sure that you are fully comfortable and confident with our equipment. At our center, we take this responsibility seriously. We are proud members of Green Finns and PADI Aware ambassadors.
