Grampin, which means "anchor" in Mexican Spanish, is named for the reef's shape. This dive site experiences mild to moderate currents year-round, making it suitable for divers of all experience levels, from beginners to experts.

The site features various swim-through passages and shallow underwater valleys that allow divers to navigate between them. The walls of these valleys are adorned with large corals and sponges, providing excellent habitats for a diverse array of marine life, which can be easily observed in the clear Caribbean waters.

The currents attract pelagic marine life and provide opportunities for drift diving. However, a negative entry is required for successful access to the dive site, so some prior experience is beneficial.
