Description

The PADI Open Water Referral is the open water training section of the full PADI Open Water Diver course. Many guests and travelers decide to do their training in their home town, completing all confined water dives and knowledge development prior to traveling, opting to complete the 4 open water dives in an area where the diving is spectacular. Isla Mujeres is the perfect place to finish your course. With our tranquil, turquoise water, the perfect depth for Open Water courses, and incredible visibility, why would you want to do it anywhere else?

We also do Universal referrals from other training organizations.

the Underwater Museum of Art MUSA and

the Manchones natural reef.

All academics and confined water skills will have been completed before arrival

 

 

getting started

All theory (whether eLearning or other) and confined water will be completed by another dive center prior to arrival.

after arriving ON the island

An in-water assessment and knowledge assessment must be completed by one of our qualified staff, before continuing with the course

equipment

All equipment required is included in the course. You learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, and a tank. The equipment you wear varies, depending upon whether you’re diving in tropical, temperate, or cold water. Your PADI Instructor will explain the equipment you need and may suggest additional educational materials, such as the required logbook.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bring original referral forms from your local dive center

  • Bring a medical certificate if one was required to begin the course at another dive center

  • A medical questionnaire must be completed prior to participation

  • The minimum age is 15

  • The minimum age is 10 (PADI Junior Open Water Diver)

 

 

To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or paid Junior Open Water Diver course),

you must be 10 years old or older.

You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health.

 

No prior experience with scuba diving is required.
